Job summary

AdventHealth Zephyrhills is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to assist with delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision, delivering person-centered care and supporting the care team.

You will monitor telemetry, document vital signs, assist with daily activities, and help train other staff. Requires CNA/CPCT/A/NCPCT/PCT-C or EMT, CPR/BLS certification, and night shift in Florida facility.

Qualifications

1+ PCT experience preferred
Previous telemetry experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assists with safe delegated patient care tasks under RN supervision
Provides person-centered care with sensitivity and respect in collaboration with the team
Assists care team in achieving daily patient and family goals
Provides quality patient care including comfort, hygiene, skin care, safety, transport, and nutrition/elimination needs
Reports patient status changes and needs to RN promptly
Maintains telemetry supplies and ensures transmitter inventory is current
Maintains patient ECG records and central monitor alarms
Assists in training other nursing support staff, volunteers, students, and hospital personnel
Performs other duties as assigned
