Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Part-time Nursing Assistant for the Lake Norman facility, in the Nursing Progressive Care Unit: Telemetry on the 5th Floor. The role supports patients with activities of daily living, vital sign checks, hygiene, and mobility assistance.

You will help with documentation, unit safety instructions, and basic clerical tasks while maintaining clean patient areas and reporting any changes to the care team. The schedule is 7a-7p, four hours per week, PRN days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Nurse Aide I or II listing per state nursing board.
• Basic life support (BLS) per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Take vital signs and height/weight measurements.
• Support feeding and ambulation per procedures.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Observe changes and report to clinicians promptly.
• Orient patients and families on unit safety and procedures.
• Assist with clerical tasks and medical records entry.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Perform tasks per Nurse Aide I/II scope and training.
• Conduct 12-lead ECG and routine venipuncture as trained.
