WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. in Wheeling, WV is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Technician to monitor telemetry and hard-wire patients, identify rhythm changes, and report critical events to the medical team.

You will analyze ECG strip waveforms, document rhythms, upload data to EPIC, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges with accurate information. Strong teamwork, basic computer skills, and knowledge of medical terminology are essential.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Obtain Heartsaver or Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
• Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia course required.
• Graduate of a Technical Education Program or Medical Assistant Program preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Performs cardiac monitoring for telemetry and hard-wire monitored patients, identifying changes and reporting rhythms or life-threatening events to medical/nursing staff.
• Analyze, interpret, and measure ECG strip waveforms and document each patient’s rhythm and changes.
• Upload patient rhythms/events to the chart in EPIC using Wave Strip Export.
• Monitor pulse oximetry for assigned patients and ensure accurate admissions/discharges/transfers data via Epic/Telemetry Dashboard.
• Assemble telemetry packs and maintain inventory of supplies; trouble-shoot malfunctioning equipment with proper notification.
• Greet and admit patients; perform routine clerical operations to support clear communication and documentation.
• Maintain patient and department records; coordinate intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication.
• Assist physicians and staff by providing requested patient/department information in accordance with privacy policy.
