Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry screens for assigned patients.
• Recognize, interpret, and document normal and abnormal heart rhythms.
• Immediately notify nursing staff of significant rhythm changes or life-threatening events.
• Accurately document cardiac rhythm strips according to facility policy.
• Maintain and troubleshoot telemetry monitoring equipment.
• Ensure proper placement and functioning of electrodes and leads.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with healthcare team members.
• Adhere to patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with training or orientation of new staff as needed.
