Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Michigan is seeking a Telematics Validation Engineer to lead validation and testing of automotive ECUs with a focus on telematics systems. You will design, develop, and execute test cases for ECU- and system-level validation.

You will analyze CAN and MQTT communications, perform HIL testing, and develop automation scripts using Vector tools to support defect tracking and validation summaries.

Qualifications

• Experience with CAN, MQTT, and Vector tools.
• Hands-on experience in HIL testing.
• Experience in automotive ECU validation.

Responsibilities

• Validate automotive ECUs and telematics systems through tests.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for ECU- and system-level validation.
• Analyze and debug CAN/MQTT communications and issues.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and create automation scripts as needed.
• Use Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) for simulation, analysis, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify and track defects.
• Prepare detailed test reports, validation summaries, and defect documentation.
• Support integration and system and subsystem-level validation activities.

Job Description

• Perform validation and testing of automotive ECUs, with a focus on telematics systems.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for both ECU-level and system-level validation.
• Analyze and debug communication issues using protocols such as CAN and MQTT.
• Conduct HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing and develop automation scripts as required.
• Utilize Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer, etc.) for simulation, analysis, and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, track, and resolve defects.
• Prepare detailed test reports, validation summaries, and defect documentation.
• Support integration and system and sub system level validation activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in CAN, MQTT, and Vector tools
• Hands-on experience in HIL testing
• Experience in automotive ECU validation
