Job summary

A healthcare organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to provide patient education and manage specialty drug therapies. Responsibilities include counseling patients about treatment options and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate should have a nursing diploma, a valid license, and significant nursing experience, especially in acute inpatient care. This hybrid role offers opportunities for training and overtime work as well as participation in onsite activities.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 3-5 years or more post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations.
• 5 or more years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of acute, inpatient care preferred.
• 5+ years nursing experience with at least 1 year of acute inpatient care preferred.
• Licensing in all states served within 3 months via Biologics program.
• Strong written and oral communication; motivational interviewing experience.
• Proficient computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and educate new/existing patients on specialty drug therapies.
• Adhere to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specification.
• Complete thorough and accurate documentation utilizing good documentation practices.
• Discuss potential/current side effects with patients to educate about treatment alternatives and facilitate ongoing therapy adherence.
• Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to the manufacturer, FDA, and/or other governing authorities.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday – 09:00 am – 06:00 pm

Work Location: Hybrid position In-office after orientation two days a week at 11800 Weston Parkway, Cary, NC 27513
