Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized TelecommunicationsProject Manager to join our team in Houston, TX. In this role, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex information and communications technology (ICT) and infrastructure projects. You will oversee multi-million-dollar structured cabling, fiber optic network, and low-voltagesystems build-outs across enterprise commercial, healthcare, and industrialsites.

The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of BICSI/TIAstandards paired with strong leadership skills to manage multi-disciplinaryfield teams, maintain strict budget controls, and act as the primary liaisonfor client stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Lifecycle Management: Lead ICTinfrastructure projects from initial scoping and estimating throughengineering, procurement, installation, testing, and final hand-off.
• Standards & Compliance: Ensure allstructured cabling, data center designs, and network distribution pathsstrictly adhere to BICSI, ANSI/TIA, and local Houston building codes.
• Team & Vendor Leadership: Manageon-site technicians, sub-contractors, and field crews. Conduct safety briefingsand quality control audits to maintain high execution standards.
• Financial Management: Track projectmilestones, manage budgets, process change orders, and optimize resourceallocation to protect project margins.
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as thecentral point of contact for clients, MEP engineers, and general contractors,providing transparent updates and proactively mitigating project risks.

Requirements

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’sdegree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field (orequivalent field experience) with 5+ years of direct experience managinglow-voltage or telecommunications projects.
• Industry Certifications (Highly Preferred):
  • Active BICSI RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager) or RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a strong plus.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understandingof structured cabling (Cat6A, Fiber Optic, OSP/ISP), AV systems,security/access control, and network architecture. Proficiency with projectsoftware (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam) or BIM/Revit workflows.
• Regional Knowledge: Familiarity with theHouston commercial construction market, local permitting processes, andregional safety protocols.
