Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale telecommunications and low-voltage construction projects across Texas with extensive travel. This permanent role requires coordinating with Operations leadership and project teams to ensure delivery, profitability, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of supervisory or project management experience.
• 5+ years in telecommunications, low-voltage, structured cabling, construction or related industries.
• Proven experience managing large projects valued at $1M+.
• Experience working directly with customers and General Contractors.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities, with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support large-scale telecommunications/construction projects.
• Serve as a senior escalation resource to drive issues to resolution.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation to protect schedules, budgets and profitability.
• Monitor project financials, KPIs, forecasting and overall performance.
• Ensure safety, quality and customer satisfaction across projects.
• Manage staffing, materials, and installation progress; coordinate with stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers to improve performance and delivery.
• Support pre-construction planning and project handoffs.
• Review job costing, invoicing, and project reporting for accuracy.
• Drive continuous process improvements across accounts.

Title: Data Center Construction Project Manager
Duration: Permanent Role (FTE)
Location: 100% Travel - Texas has majority of the client work at the moment
Salary Range: 115k - 125k + Bonus and Commissions
Overview:

• Our Client is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale, high-profile, and high-risk telecommunications and low-voltage construction projects.
• This individual will serve as a senior escalation point for project teams, partnering with Operations leadership and Project Managers to resolve complex project issues while ensuring successful delivery, profitability, safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
• The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a strong background managing multimillion-dollar projects, mentoring PMs, and driving operational excellence across multiple engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and support large-scale and high-risk telecommunications/construction projects.
• Serve as a senior escalation resource for project challenges and drive issues through resolution.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect project schedules, budgets, and profitability.
• Monitor project financials, KPIs, forecasting, and overall performance.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.
• Manage staffing, workload distribution, materials, and installation progress.
• Partner with customers, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.
• Mentor and coach Project Managers to improve performance and project delivery.
• Support pre-construction planning, operational handoffs, and implementation meetings.
• Review job costing, invoicing, collections, and project reporting for accuracy.
• Drive continuous process improvements across projects and accounts.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 7+ years of supervisory, leadership, or project management experience.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, low-voltage, structured cabling, construction, or related technical industries.
• Proven experience managing large, complex projects valued at $1M+.
• Experience working directly with customers and General Contractors.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel extensively to active project sites.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.

Technical Requirements:

• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, construction drawings, and project specifications.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and MS Teams.
• Experience with project scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, Wrike, or similar platforms.
• Ability to manage project budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and profitability metrics.
• Experience with project lifecycle management from scope development through customer turnover.

Preferred Certifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• PMI-ACP or equivalent project management certification
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Industry certifications related to telecommunications, structured cabling, or low-voltage systems
