Job summary

White Mountain Cable Construction, LLC seeks a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will serve as the on-site expert, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced team members.

Responsibilities include installing fiber/telecom cables and supporting structures, operating bucket trucks and derricks, and coordinating daily work orders. Willingness to travel for storm response is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience
• DOT medical card required after employment
• Willing to obtain CDL Class A if not already licensed
• Pole climber certification or willingness to become certified

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to codes and customer requirements
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators
• Maintain safe work areas and manage traffic flow on job sites
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws) safely
• Provide guidance and support to crew members
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew safety checks
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class "A" driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
