Job summary

Star Construction LLC in Madison, AL is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while guiding less experienced crew members.

This role requires 3+ years of related experience, a valid CDL A preferred, ability to pass a DOT physical, and readiness to travel for storm response. We offer weekly pay, PTO, 401(k) with match, education reimbursement, and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Pass a DOT physical exam.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Certified pole climber or willing to become certified.
• CDL Class A driver license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation of fiber/telecom cables and structures per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely use bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators.
• Keep work areas safe and maintain smooth traffic flow on site.
• Safely work at heights with climbing hooks and ladders.
• Safely use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws).
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed.
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks documenting productivity and safety compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
