Job summary

Leidos LLC is seeking a Telecommunications Engineering Technician to support the FAA’s LIFT portfolio across the United States. You will survey sites, draft SSRs, and coordinate outages while interfacing with SSC, ES, and Verizon teams. The role requires travel up to 75% and a path to Public Trust clearance, with MS Office proficiency.

Ideal candidates hold a B.S. in Electronics Engineering or a Master’s degree, plus 4+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in electronics engineering or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree.
• Travel up to 75% is required.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship or eligible permanent resident status.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suites.

Responsibilities

• Review FAA databases and draft Site Survey Reports (SSR).
• Conduct site surveys and coordinate with SSC, ES, and Verizon personnel.
• Draft Project Risk Plans (PRP) and ORMPs; generate drawings and artifacts.
• Develop site preparation and transition plans; coordinate outages with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with LECs on schedules and interstate service flows.
• Prepare briefings and reports on district status; review Verizon SSIP comments.
