Job summary

LS Technologies, a Tetra Tech Company, seeks Field Technicians to support the FAA in maintaining NAS telecommunications infrastructure. The role requires extensive travel and field support at FAA sites nationwide.

Ideal candidates have hands-on telecom and network experience, knowledge of LAN/WAN, IP services, PBX/VoIP, and are able to work around active FAA equipment with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience maintaining telecom and/or enterprise network systems.
• Experience with network topology and cabling infrastructure.
• Knowledge of telecom technologies (multiplexers, voice/data, IP).
• Ability to work around active FAA equipment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Willingness to travel across the United States.
• Ability to climb towers and work at heights, if required.

Responsibilities

• Support FAA telecom programs for ATC operations.
• Install, maintain, test, and troubleshoot telecom infrastructure (LAN/WAN, IP, routers, PBX/VoIP).
• Perform site surveys and document conditions, assist in installation planning.
• Support FAA cutovers, restorations, service improvements, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct light construction, trenching, grounding, and low-voltage work.
• Install, align, and remove antennas and waveguide as needed.
• Maintain as-built records and post-outage reports.
• Ensure compliance with FAA safety and government regulations.
