Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is hiring a Telecommunication Engineer 2 to design, coordinate, and implement structured cabling for AI-driven data centers. You will interface with Data/Wireless Networking, AV, Security, and MEP teams to deliver constructible engineering solutions.

The role emphasizes producing detailed drawings, BOMs, cabling schedules, and QA plans while applying NFPA, TIA, and BICSI standards. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years of relevant electrical experience.
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must demonstrate basic understanding of TIA standards and NFPA Codes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and track project requirements with stakeholders.
• Coordinate cabling backbone, data outlets, and system topology with teams.
• Create telecommunications space plans alongside architectural and MEP teams.
• Design detailed telecommunication pathways, including BIM usage.
• Produce RFI responses and constructible design drawings in AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Develop BOMs, cabling schedules, and QA documentation per specs.
