Job summary

Bowhead is seeking a Telecommunications Mechanic II to support base telecommunications maintenance at Beale AFB, CA. You will manage voice network services, Cisco UC configurations, and related cabling, while documenting systems and updating tickets.

The role requires a High School diploma, 2+ years IT experience (Cisco Call Manager/Unity preferred), and CompTIA Security+ certification; CCNA/CCNP are a plus. Must be able to obtain Secret clearance and be a US citizen.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years IT experience, preferably with Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity.
• Must have CompTIA Security+; CCNA or CCNP preferred.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain administration, security and maintenance of voice network services and assets.
• Configure Cisco Unified Communications and VoIP devices.
• Create documentation and diagrams of voice systems.
• Install and test voice and data cabling (Cat 6, fiber) indoors and outdoors.
• Access and update work orders in CIPS and trouble tickets in EITASS.
