Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Sr. Telecommunications Specialist in Bluemont, VA to maintain and support telecommunications systems for mission requirements. Active DoD TS/SCI clearance or CE access is required, with ability to obtain ongoing special accesses.

Responsibilities include ensuring system availability, performing testing and diagnostics, and coordinating with third-party service providers to meet mission objectives. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in RF systems including HF, VHF, UHF, EHF, AEHF.
• Experience with cryptographic systems, radio systems, video teleconferencing systems, satellite systems, network architecture and/or inside cable plant distribution systems.
• Operational work experience in a military communications career field.
• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance is required with adjudication within the last 5 years or designated CE and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, performance and testing of mission capabilities across voice, video, data systems, networks, and information feeds.
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and restore communications systems and services; coordinate with 3rd party providers as needed.
• Set up, operate, and train users on voice, video and data networks including radio and satellite systems.
