Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Distribution Systems Lead CEL Engineer to support the BIM contract.

This on-site role is based at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii, requiring residence in the Honolulu area for daily support. You will evaluate, design, and oversee installation of telecom rooms, racks, grounding, cabling, electrical, cooling, and adherence to UFC and DoW standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience with telecommunications rooms, data center buildouts, or ISP infrastructure.
• Experience managing cabling, rack installation, or structured cabling teams.
• Knowledge of grounding/bonding, power specs, equipment standards, and room environmental requirements.
• Secret Security Clearance.
• On-site support at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Hawaii.
• 7+ months engagement with potential for movement onto other initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveys documenting power, cooling, bonding/grounding, pathways, and room readiness.
• Develop layout designs including rack plans, cable management, grounding/bonding, electrical circuits, and equipment placement.
• Manage labor performing room buildouts, rack installation, cable routing, and grounding.
• Ensure compliance with UFC, TIA/EIA, I3A, and DoW standards.
• Coordinate with base civil engineering for facility upgrades or modifications.
• Support site installation of fiber, CAT6, WIFI, CEL closet solutions (cabinets, switch nodes, UPS) and power solutions.
• Work with Network, Fiber Optic, ISP, and OSP teams for integration.
• Participate in design reviews and customer briefings as a SME.
