Job summary

Amentum in Dayton, OH is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team. You will maintain and support our customer’s telecommunications systems to ensure they are available for senior decision-support teams.

The role requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated in the last 5 years or designated CE, and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses. Expect travel 10-20% and on-site work with RF/video/data networks.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance requirement.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience installing and troubleshooting network and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Experience with VTC equipment and RF systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, test, analyze, troubleshoot, and restore communications systems.
• Coordinate availability and restoration with 3rd party providers.
• Set up and train users on voice, video, and data networks (including radio and satellite).
• Make tactical decisions in stressed environments to meet mission objectives.
• Prioritize workload to meet customer expectations and demand.
• Support design, planning and testing of new systems for operational use.
• Ensure proper configuration and change management; keep documentation current.
• Travel 10-20% as required.
