Job summary

Chartis Federal seeks a TS-cleared Senior Telecommunications Technician to provide systems engineering, design, deployment, and O&M support for critical communication systems on-site at a government facility in Bluemont, VA.

The role requires deep RF knowledge, experience with diverse telecom platforms, and the ability to translate requirements into actionable plans for contracts and field teams. Candidates need 5–10 years' experience, a BS in IT/Engineering/Math, and TS/SCI access.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• BS in Science, IT, Engineering or Mathematics preferred.
• Requires Top-Secret clearance with SCI access.
• Knowledge of telecommunications concepts and RF systems.
• Ability to translate requirements into contracting/implementation plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical contribution to plans, procedures, and checklists for mission equipment readiness.
• Coordinate deployment, installation, integration, operation, maintenance of RF communication systems.
• Evaluate system performance and recommend acquisitions or modifications.
• Communicate with engineers, technicians, and government personnel in meetings.
• Assist in creating statements of work, budgets, contracts, and procurement documents.
• Perform testing, fault isolation, and repair of voice, data, and video systems.
