Job summary

Amentum seeks a Sr. Network Engineer/SME to join our team supporting a National Capital Region customer. The role requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance adjudicated in the last five years or CE eligibility and the ability to obtain and maintain special accesses.

Onsite work Monday–Friday, 8 hours a day, with occasional 80-hour biweekly periods. You will lead end-to-end planning, design, installation, and configuration of a medium-sized IP network, applying advanced routing and switching, layer

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI clearance adjudicated within last 5 years or CE eligibility.
15+ years in networking with strong troubleshooting in communications equipment.
CCNP or equivalent industry certification.
Experience with GEM One software/services.
Experience with SolarWinds suite of tools.
SME for Voice, Video and Data Communications Systems.

Responsibilities

Plan, design, install, and configure a medium-sized IP network.
Provide advanced routing, switching, and layer 3 VPN expertise.
Advise customer on technical approaches and acquisition strategies.
Develop briefings to convey status, objectives, and risks to management.
Collaborate with vendors and mission partners to ensure integration and interoperability.
Identify and resolve complex network issues and security concerns.
