Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Telecom team. This role blends hands-on design with project coordination, guiding projects from concept through delivery while engaging with clients and subconsultants.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree, 5+ years telecom experience, and a PE license, with proficiency in AutoCAD, OCalc, or RISA 3D. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 5+ years of related telecom engineering experience.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with small cell or A&E projects is preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, OCalc, or RISA 3D.
• Strong client communication and service orientation.
• Ability to read/write English for job communications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare designs, calculations, data and deliverables for telecom projects, including both routine and more complex assignments.
• Apply engineering principles, standards, and sound judgment to analyze data and solve problems.
• Independently evaluate and adapt standard engineering techniques to meet project requirements.
• Plan and coordinate technical aspects of projects, including site conditions and constraints.
• Utilize AutoCAD, OCalc, RISA 3D to meet project schedules and budgets.
• Perform technical and quality reviews and guide staff supporting project execution.
• Review deliverables from subconsultants and coordinate supporting documentation.
• Assist the Project Manager with client coordination, scope, proposals, and scheduling.
• Participate in meetings and present technical information and updates.
• Prepare technical correspondence and submittals.
