Alamon, Inc. is seeking a Telecommunication Technician Level 2 for its Network Services department. The role involves performing telecommunications equipment installation, modification, maintenance, and removal at customer facilities with limited supervision.

The position requires working in environments such as central offices, data centers, and wireless sites, and may involve extensive travel nationwide. A strong focus on safety, engineering documentation, and customer standards is essential

Qualifications

• Possess a current driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Must be proficient with a laptop.
• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and escalate when needed.
• Telecommunications installation experience with central office, data center, wireless, or related infrastructure environment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform telecommunications equipment installation, modification, maintenance, and removal with limited supervision.
• Install and secure racks, cabinets, cable racks, ladder rack, frames, and related infrastructure per standards.
• Route, dress, secure, label, terminate, and verify telecommunications cabling to standards.
• Install and route fiber-optic and copper cabling and perform basic connectorization and verification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, installation specifications, site documentation, BOMs, and MOPs.
• Complete daily project documentation, time reporting, photos, checklists, and test records.
• Follow customer security, access, change-control, and site requirements.
• Travel to customer locations and work varying schedules, nights, weekends, or maintenance windows.
