Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a skilled HVAC/Telecom Technician to perform field service maintenance and repairs on telecom cooling systems and data centers. You will diagnose and replace components, install ductwork, and ensure safety and compliance across multiple sites.

The role requires ability to travel extensively, read electrical diagrams, and apply HVAC codes. On-site work with a company vehicle is provided along with full benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience reading electrical ladder schematics and interpreting job orders.
• Knowledge of underground CEV and cooling equipment preferred.
• EPA 608 refrigerant handling and universal refrigerant card required.
• Able to travel frequently and work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair commercial cooling systems on cell tower units and data centers.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, or replace components of HVAC and related systems.
• Install or replace ductwork and hydronic or refrigeration equipment as needed.
• Test electrical circuits and components for continuity using testers.
• Layout electrical wiring per diagrams and troubleshoot low-voltage controls.
• Travel M-F, with potential weekend work; maintain safety practices on site.
• Complete safety and technical trainings and ensure FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA compliance.
