Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking an Equipment Operator Foreman to lead telecom utility crews across Minnesota and Wisconsin. You will supervise field operations, ensure safety, and coach a crew while delivering high-quality work on outdoor construction sites.

The role requires 3+ years of heavy equipment operation and at least 1 year in a foreman/lead position, with travel across MN/WI about half the year and a valid CDL or driver's license preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• At least 1 year of foreman or lead experience.
• Experience in telecom or utility construction.
• Strong understanding of underground construction and telecom work.
• CDL preferred; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Use construction knowledge to build, repair, and maintain projects.
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites.
• Troubleshoot field problems as they arise.
• Train crew on tools and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment and manage all aspects of job-site construction.
• Coach and mentor crew members on equipment and practices.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.
• Travel MN/WI approximately 50% of the year.
