Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Telecommunication Field Technician to support utility and telecom projects through precise field data collection and on-site equipment management. You will perform field visits, collect data for permits and right-of-way, and interpret maps and drawings to ensure accurate design and execution.

The role requires 2 years in telecommunications or utilities, the ability to travel to client sites, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of telecommunications and/or electrical utilities experience.
• Ability to install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom equipment on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom and field equipment on-site.
• Perform field visits, inspections, and data collection at utility and telecom locations.
• Collect accurate data for permits, easements, and right-of-way documentation.
• Identify pole attachments and interpret field notes, maps, schematics, and drawings.
• Provide on-site technical support to customers and end users.
• Interact professionally with clients, property owners, contractors, and developers.
• Traverse challenging or remote terrain to complete field assignments.
• Collaborate with internal teams and other divisions to support project needs.
• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records, including service reports, job documentation, time tracking, mileage, and materials used.
• Produce clear, timely, and accurate field documentation and correspondence.
