Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Telecommunication Field Technician to support critical utility and telecom infrastructure projects through accurate field data collection and analysis. You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot field equipment on-site, perform field visits, and collect data for permits and right-of-way documents.

You will interact with clients and internal teams, travel to client sites, and follow strict safety guidelines while producing detailed field reports and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of telecommunications and/or electrical utilities experience

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and ensure proper use of PPE at all times
• Maintain accurate and detailed records, including service reports, job documentation, time tracking, mileage, and materials used
• Produce clear, timely, and accurate field documentation and correspondence

Join our team as a Telecommunication Field Technician , supporting critical utility and telecom infrastructure projects through accurate field data collection and analysis. In this role, you will support fielding activities that ensure safe, efficient design, permitting, and project execution.

What You’ll Do:

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecom and field equipment on-site

MinimumRequirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2 years of previous experience in telecommunications and/or electrical utilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in handling tools, equipment, and instruments required for installation, maintenance, or repairs

• Knowledge in reading technical manuals, schematics, or diagrams

• Knowledge with easements and right of ways

• Skill to be a problem solver with identifying and diagnosing technical issues in a timely manner

• Ability to work independently while also being a reliable team player

• Ability to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy equipment, crawling in tight spaces, or working at heights

• Ability to travel to different client sites and work in various environments

Pay Range:

Pay Range $35,100.00 - $63,450.00
