Job summary

Tech Mahindra is seeking a Full-time Field Technician with strong communication and technical skills to join our team. The Field Technician is responsible for conducting Site Surveys, Installation/Commissioning/Integration and troubleshooting of Customer Equipment into existing racks.

This will include Running and testing of Cat5e/Cat6, Fiber Optics, Power and grounding cabling. Travel within the local Region is required with rental car or mileage reimbursement; occasionally flying to support

Qualifications

• Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with telecom experience.
• 2–5 years of applicable telecom installation experience in a field environment.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and travel within local region.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with site surveys, fiber and copper installation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Site Survey and Site Redline using existing engineering design package.
• Identify and track installation elements via a Site Audit.
• Develop solutions for installation and decommissioning of equipment.
• Inventory delivery and report discrepancies.
• Install cable (Ethernet, Fiber, power, grounding) and manage cabling.
• Label cables, run fiber, copper, and power, and verify connectivity.
• Provide daily progress reports to project management and troubleshoot issues.
• Follow procedures and document results with customers.
