Job summary

Isbell Construction LLC, an ElectriCom subsidiary, seeks a Foreman to lead a 3–5 person crew on telecommunications and utility construction projects in Florence, TX. The role combines on-site leadership with hands-on tasks such as trenching, installation, and site prep, with travel and potential overnight assignments.

On-site supervision requires strong safety practices and the ability to read construction plans, manage daily production, and mentor junior crew members.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Foreman in telecom, utility, or construction.
• 3–5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong understanding of job-site safety practices and utility-location awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and job specifications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to direct and motivate a crew.
• Proficiency operating heavy equipment.
• Willingness to perform labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.
• Ability to adapt, solve problems in the field, and support continuous improvement within the crew.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Reliable attendance, strong work ethic, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 3–5 person crew on aerial and underground fiber-construction projects.
• Maintain a safe job site and ensure crew compliance with safety procedures.
• Plan and schedule daily work to meet production goals.
• Perform hands‑on tasks alongside the crew.
• Conduct job‑site and equipment inspections.
• Communicate project expectations and progress with management and customers.
• Support a team‑oriented work environment and encourage crew development and growth.
• Work outdoors in all weather and terrain conditions.
• Travel to job sites, including overnight out‑of‑town assignments; overtime may be required.
• Participate in required training and perform traffic control as needed.
