Job summary

CCI Systems, Inc. seeks a Field Engineer to provide technical expertise for customer network upgrades, field management and project administration with a full understanding of HFC distribution systems.

Responsibilities include assessing OSP/ISP hardware, performing DOCSIS tests, head end setup, and coordinating with customers and subcontractors to ensure quality and profitability on nationwide projects.

Qualifications

5-7 years’ experience as a Coax Splicer.
5-7 years’ experience in a HFC Sweep/Technician role within the Service Provider space.
Consulting background and experience working with multiple customers.
Sweep certification.
DOT Certification & Bucket Truck and Safety Certifications.
Test equipment will include VIAVI gear for sweep, head end, and meter setup.
DOCSIS testing experience.
In-Depth understanding of OSP and proficient in troubleshooting.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Willingness to travel nationwide and work after hours when required.

Responsibilities

Assess OSP/ISP hardware and reading diagrams, and maintain field notes.
Correct network failures and improve performance using sweep gear.
Diagnose and repair plant issues to reduce upstream noise and impairments.
Conduct targeted system sweeps and produce system reports.
Perform head end and meter setup and DOCSIS testing.
Install/align/optimize HFC equipment and inline devices.
Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, and team members on project requirements.
Lead technicians and subcontractors to meet contract obligations and profitability goals.
Oversee daily workload and project documentation.
Meet customers to discuss project-related issues and escalate as needed.
