CCI Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to provide technical expertise for customer network upgrades, field management, and project administration with a focus on HFC systems.

The role requires travel across the United States and hands-on work with OSP/ISP hardware and testing equipment. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in coax splicing and HFC sweep roles, DOT and safety certifications, and the ability to lead field teams, communicate effectively, and deliver quality results in

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in Coax Splicer or related field.
• Experience with HFC sweep/field technician roles.
• DOT Certification and bucket truck/safety certifications.
• Proficient with VIAVI/JDSU gear for sweep and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assess OSP/ISP hardware and diagrams, maintain field notes and operate equipment.
• Correct network issues and improve performance using sweep gear and CATV tools.
• Diagnose and repair plant issues to reduce upstream noise and impairments.
• Conduct targeted system sweeps and document findings for system reports.
• Perform head end and meter setup, DOCSIS testing, and signal loss calculations.
• Install/align/optimize HFC equipment and inline devices for upgrades.
• Coordinate with customers and subcontractors to collect project requirements.
