Job summary

Astound is looking for a Construction Manager to lead broadband and fiber construction projects, overseeing field crews, contractors, permits, and inspections. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while interpreting telecom drawings and coordinating with engineering and network operations.

You will maintain documentation, track costs, and drive project success through cross-functional collaboration and rigorous QA/QC practices.

Qualifications

• Experience managing telecom construction projects from site prep to closeout.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
• Proven track record with budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage broadband, fiber, and related telecom infrastructure projects from site prep through closeout.
• Coordinate contractors, field crews, permits, inspections, and utility locates to stay on schedule and within budget.
• Interpret drawings, fiber plans, and specs to ensure compliant builds and quality.
• Monitor progress, conduct site walks, resolve issues, and enforce safety and QA/QC standards.
• Track costs, materials, and change orders; report progress and risks to leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to align build with design and activation needs.
• Maintain records and as-builts in project management systems.

In this role, you will oversee field crews and contractors, manage site readiness, permitting, and inspections, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You'll interpret telecom construction drawings, coordinate with engineering and network operations, and maintain accurate documentation.
