Job summary

KenMor Electric Co., LP is seeking a Telecom Assistant Project Manager/Estimator to support both the project management and estimating functions for low-voltage and telecom scopes of work. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, preparing estimates for structured cabling, fiber, and telecom projects, sourcing vendor pricing, and collaborating with PMs, sales, and engineers.

The role requires familiarity with estimating software, Procore or MS Project, and strong math and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Experience in telecom/low-voltage estimating or related field.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with bid documents and specifications.
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs, and RFPs to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates for structured cabling, fiber, and telecom projects.
• Source vendor pricing and prepare competitive bids.
• Collaborate with project managers, sales, and engineers on proposals.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies.
• Maintain documentation of estimates and pricing.
• Solicit vendor and subcontractor pricing for telecom-related systems.
