Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Telecom Co-Op (May - Dec 2027). You will work with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects, supporting from concept through final design and documentation.

The role includes field data collection, cost estimating, and preparing construction documents while developing professional skills through a hands-on co-op experience. Housing/relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• Willing to work full-time during the May 2027 - December 2027 period.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
• MicroStation or AutoCAD experience or exposure is preferred, but not required.
• Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance are not available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual through final design and record drawings of utility lines and related facilities.
• Field visits to collect data and evaluate existing, pre-design conditions.
• Construction documents and administration.
• Cost estimating.
• Material specifications.
• General project and office support.
