Job summary

Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Telecom Co-Op for May–December 2027. You will work with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects, supporting design, data collection, and cost estimation.

This role requires pursuing an ABET-accredited BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, a willingness to work full-time during May–December 2027, and proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/MS Project. Travel and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
• Willing to work full-time during the Summer and Winter semesters from May 2027 - December 2027.
• Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license.
• MicroStation or AutoCAD experience or exposure is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conceptual through final design and record drawings of utility lines and related facilities.
• Field visits to collect data and evaluate existing, pre-design conditions.
• Construction documents and administration.
• Cost estimating.
• Material specifications.
• General project and office support.
