Job summary

Optimum is seeking a Design Supervisor to lead the day-to-day survey and design activities for coaxial and fiber networks in the Bronx, NY area. Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred; minimum of three years related CATV design experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Competencies in teamwork, integrity, flexibility, and concern for excellence.
• Extensive knowledge of PC software including Windows and MS Office and CAD; GIS tools like PNI Smallworld.
• Knowledge of design techniques for MDU, aerial and underground for coax and fiber designs.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Design technicians and provides feedback to ensure goals are met.
• Prepares and analyzes reports on Design performance and workload.
• Oversees projects including GA/Municipal/Schools, commercial, residential and MDU.
• Completes planned system survey and design in a timely manner.
• Ensures capital projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Compiles daily/monthly activity reports for management review.
• Mentors staff and conducts monthly performance evaluations.
• Interacts with multiple departments to coordinate design activities.
• Maintains safety and regulatory compliance across design work.
