Job summary

ESPO Corporation in Londonderry, NH is seeking a Construction Specialist to perform field construction quality audits for a major telecom provider. 80% field work and 20% office tasks, auditing nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps and enclosures.

Responsibilities include executing audits, documenting results, reviewing rework, and ensuring timely completion. Daily use of computers and Smartsheet; the role is largely independent within a dispersed team.

Qualifications

• Coax and fiber construction experience required.
• Basic computer skills to use Microsoft, Smartsheet, Teams.
• Network Maintenance Technician experience a plus and reading design prints.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for assigned audits at one or multiple locations; daily tasks vary.
• Complete audits and documentation; verify and review rework, repairs and tasks timely.
• Some computer and Smartsheet work every day; mostly individual role with dispersed team.
• Coordinate and supervise safety standards; participate in safety meetings.
• Generate logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
• Review and resolve customer requests and complaints; monitor crew performance.
• Maintain regular attendance; may include nights, weekends and overtime.

Construction Specialist (Telecom)

Location: Londonderry, NH
Pay Rate: $38-$43/hr
Long term contract

Will be completing construction quality audits in the field 80% of the time, 20% office pc work. Wide range of inspections on nodes, amplifiers, power supplies, fiber taps, enclosures etc. but not limited to.

Our client, a major Telecommunications provider, is looking to hire a Construction Specialist to in Londonderry, NH.

Day to day:

Be responsible for assigned audits (could be one or multiple locations); no day will be the same; completing audits and documentation ; verify and review audit rework repairs and task are completed in a timely manner; there is some computer and Smartsheet work every day. This role is pretty much an individual role; team is spread all around.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hard-line Connectivity & Platformss, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and Connectivity & Platforms trailers.
• Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
• Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
• Supports Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.
• Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
• Reviews, resolves, follows-up customer request and complaints.
• Monitors performance of construction crew to established goals and objectives.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business support, technical, or production staff who perform tasks in the same function
• Sets priorities for the team. Assigns tasks and checks work at regular intervals
• Responsible for ensuring all work performed on the project meets or exceeds Comcast, Local, State or Federal standards and regulations.
• Primary Responsibilities:
• Updating the JT or Polaris entry (job docs/maps) QC for path verification
• Primary contractor interface day-to-day in the field and in turn acts as the NGAN liaison with the Regional network Technicians
• New or upgraded power supply in place and operational (in continuity) prior to cut date.
• Overall responsibility of the quality of the NGAN product: from the contractor building and to the Operations we hand off to
