Job summary

Aecon in Minnesota is seeking a results-driven Manager, Project to lead telecom construction initiatives across a designated portfolio. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage scope, schedule, and budget to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

This role requires 5+ years in project management in utilities or contracting, strong leadership and communication, and the ability to travel between utility yards and project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• Ability to travel between utility yards and project sites.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional project coordination to meet scope, schedule, budget and quality goals.
• Set targets, resource plans, and workload for successful delivery.
• Own budgets and manage expenditures, forecasts, and revisions.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to maintain schedule and cost targets.
• Collaborate with Project Controls and Finance for monthly reporting and client billing.
• Manage vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Oversee change orders and assess budget impact.
• Escalate supply chain risks to minimize delays.
