Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Telecom Technician 3 to install, plan, organize and schedule communications cabling and equipment for complex telecom systems. You will oversee five or more technicians and apprentices, ensuring high-quality installation and compliance with codes and standards.

This full-time role demands hands-on ability with hand/tools, a strong safety mindset, and readiness to travel up to 25%. You'll contribute to documenting as-built drawings, participate in design reviews, and train

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in commercial communications industry.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have an excellent safety record, a valid driver's license, and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug test.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Install and test low voltage cable and telecom systems.
• Supervise crew of technicians and apprentices.
• Ensure safety policies and PPE usage.
• Produce 4 week look ahead plans and manage material staging.
• Maintain as-built drawings weekly and document progress.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
