Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Telecom Technician 3 to oversee the installation and testing of communications cabling and equipment. You will plan, organize, and schedule work orders, ensuring high‑quality installations and safety compliance.

You will supervise a crew of technicians and apprentices, coordinate with design reviews, and maintain documentation. The role requires 6+ years in commercial communications, high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read plans.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication, time management and organization skills.
• Excellent safety record and valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to read plans and specifications and pass a basic telecom knowledge test.
• Must pass background check and drug test; reliable transportation to site.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Install and test various low‑voltage cables and telecom systems.
• Oversee a crew of five or more technicians and apprentices.
• Produce weekly productivity plans and track progress against plans.
• Maintain accurate as‑built drawings and site records.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
