Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial crew installing and maintaining fiber/telecom cables in Tennessee. You will provide tools, materials, and assist with equipment, and help ensure safety and compliance.

Candidates should have high school diploma or GED, be 18+, able to work outdoors, possess a valid driver’s license, and be willing to become certified as a pole climber; prior telecommunications labor is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with a clean record.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• Experience in telecommunications labor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed.
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed.
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day.
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment.
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools.
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.
