At C-2 Utility Contractors, as a Telecom Aerial Lineman, you’ll perform aerial cable installation procedures and techniques, including the placement of poles and anchors.

What you’ll do as a Telecom Aerial Lineman

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
• Safely operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more
• Set up safety perimeters using signage, cones, safety barriers
• Flag traffic when required
• Understand separation and clearance regulations
• Work aloft safely using climbing hooks and ladders
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company
• Pass a DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card
• A valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License (preferred)
• Previous construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Ability to climb telephone poles and work in bucket trucks and aloft, up to 40 feet
• Capability to perform duties like pole transfers, maintenance builds, new builds, cable installation, lashings, and strand construction
• Willingness to work overtime, after hours, weekends, emergencies, or on-call
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Willingness to travel as required

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Lift/Carry 50 lbs
• Occasionally: Lift/Carry 75 lbs

Salary Range: $27.00 - $33.00 / hr
