At C-2 Utility Contractors, as a Telecom Aerial Lineman, you’ll perform aerial cable installation procedures and techniques, including the placement of poles and anchors.

What you’ll do as a Telecom Aerial Lineman

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Use hand tools and equipment safely (wrenches, drills, ladders, etc.)
• Operate mechanized equipment safely (bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, etc.)
• Set up safety perimeters with signage, cones, barriers
• Flag traffic when required
• Understand separation and clearance regulations
• Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders safely
• Maintain safe working conditions according to regulations and policies

What you’ll need

• Be at least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the US
• Pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical card
• Valid Driver's License or Class A CDL (preferred)
• Construction experience, preferably in telecommunications
• Knowledge of aerial cable installation procedures
• Ability to climb poles and work in a bucket truck, up to 40 feet
• Perform duties like pole transfers, maintenance, new builds, etc.
• Work overtime, weekends, emergencies, or on-call as needed
• Work in all weather conditions and travel when required

Physical abilities & exposures

• Lift/carry 50 lbs routinely
• Lift/carry 75 lbs occasionally

Salary Range: $27.00 - $33.00/hr
