Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is seeking a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an Aerial Telecom Crew in the installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables and materials.

You will provide tools, parts, and materials to the crew, reposition equipment, ensure daily door tagging and resident notifications, stock and clean vehicles, perform hand digging, flag traffic, and work overtime as needed in all weather.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (not Provisional) with acceptable driving record
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure that door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned
