Job summary

Star Construction, LLC is hiring a Laborer Telecom Aerial to support an aerial telecom crew in the installation and maintenance of fiber and telecom cables. You will provide tools, parts, and materials to the crew and help move equipment as needed.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, a High School Diploma or GED, and willingness to become certified as a pole climber. You’ll work in varied weather and may be required to travel or be on-call as needed.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified
• Previous labor experience in telecommunications is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide tools, parts, and materials to crew members as needed
• Reposition or move bucket trucks, trailers, or equipment as directed
• Ensure door-tagging and resident notifications for construction activities are completed before starting work each day
• Stock, clean, and maintain all company vehicles and equipment
• Perform hand digging using shovels and mechanical tools
• Direct/flag traffic flow in line with local DOT guidelines
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned
