Job summary

Bigham Cable Construction, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman in Asheville, NC to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems. You will be the on-site expert guiding less experienced crew members while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You’ll travel for storm response, coordinate daily work orders, and uphold a safety-first culture with hands-on training and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Must pass DOT physical exam and obtain a valid medical card.
• At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Certified pole climber or willingness to become certified.
• CDL Class A preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe installation of fiber/telecom cables and related components per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators.
• Maintain safe work areas and ensure traffic flows smoothly on site.
• Work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders.
• Use hand and power tools (wrenches, drills, saws) safely.
• Provide guidance and support to crew members and travel for storm response on short notice.
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety.
