Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced full-time ICU nurse for the day shift (7am-7pm) to join the eICU team. This role moves from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital to Sentara Independence later this year.

The eICU provides telemedicine support across multiple Sentara hospitals, collaborating with bedside staff to improve outcomes. Candidates should have 3+ years in critical care, an RN license, and BLS; CCRN preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• 3+ years ICU/critical care experience
• Virginia RN license (compact/multi-state eligible) and BLS within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Provide remote nursing care as part of the eICU team, acting as advocate and resource for bedside RNs
• Collaborate with bedside ICU team and eMDs to deliver telemedicine care
• Monitor patient status using Epic Patient Monitoring (EPM) and telemedicine equipment
• Maintain daily logs and APACHE assignments for critically ill patients
