The Greater Holyoke YMCA seeks a Life & Workforce Readiness Director to lead teen programming (ages 12-18) and workforce development, guiding Explore, Develop, and Apply initiatives aligned with academic success, health, and social responsibility.

Reporting to the Senior Program Director, you will recruit and supervise staff and volunteers, build community partnerships, manage the program budget, and ensure data-driven outcomes for grants and contracts, while fostering a diverse, respectful

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with teens/youth and planning activities.
• 1–2 years supervising community-based youth programs and developing programs.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience; Education or Social Work preferred.
• Experience in urban communities and managing an out-of-school-time program.
• Strong leadership, relationship-building with parents, administrators, staff, and students.
• Excellent written and oral communication and organizational skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 3 months; YMCA Leader certification within 6 months; Mental Health First Aid within 12 months.

Mansioni

• Recruit, hire, develop, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Design and implement diverse teen programming, including YUSA programs, college and career exploration, mentoring, and workforce training and other curricula.
• Develop additional program offerings and expand the program portfolio in response to workforce trends, community needs, and partner opportunities.
• Manage data and teen program outcomes for grant and contract reporting requirements.
• Work with each department to provide training, mentoring, workforce readiness support, and other resources to all junior staff ages 18 years and under.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
• Establish and maintain relationships with service providers and partnerships; liaison for City of Holyoke Youth Task Force and other committees.
• Create a diverse, culturally sensitive environment relevant to teens.
• Manage adolescent behavior with respect, maturity, compassion, and encouragement.
• Support Youth Services with Early Education & Care and Out of School Time duties as needed.
