Job summary

Schaumburg Township District Library invites a motivated teen to join as a part-time Teen Technology Mentor. This temporary role supports Teen Librarians by helping run technology and maker programs, including Pyrography Basics, 3D design and print, and soldering, with a patient, energetic approach.

The position is three hours weekly on Mondays (4:30–7:30 p.m.) from Oct 12, 2026 through Aug 2, 2027, paying $15.00–$16.31 per hour based on skills. Apply by Sept 18, 2026.

Schaumburg Township District Library has a great opportunity for a current high school junior, senior or college student. We are looking for an energetic, competent and detail-oriented Teen Technology Mentor to join our team. This is a part-time, temporary position working three (3) hours a week from October 12, 2026 through August 2, 2027. The hours for this position are Mondays from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.The pay range for this position is $15.00/hour to $16.31/hour, based on skills and qualifications.Position Summary:The Teen Technology mentor will assist Teen Librarians with organizing and running teen programs. This includes a variety of technology and maker programs, including Pyrography Basics, 3D Design and Print, and Soldering.
