Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking a Residential Care Associate to provide direct care for children and teens in a therapeutic, structured setting. You will support groups, activities, and daily living with dignity and respect.

You will contribute to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring safety, documenting procedures, and assisting with transport to appointments and activities. A driver’s license and CPR training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate or bachelor’s in human services preferred
• Experience with adolescents in residential care is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
• Ability to complete required training, background checks, and CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Ensure resident safety and well-being through active supervision and documentation
• Lead and support therapeutic and recreational group activities
• Transport residents to appointments and community outings
• Collaborate with treatment teams and communicate relevant updates
• Intervene appropriately using behavior management techniques
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights
