Job summary

Pima County Public Library is seeking a Librarian I to join the teen services team at W. Anne Gibson-Esmond Station Library.

The role emphasizes developing and delivering engaging teen programs, collaborating with staff and partners, and building strong relationships with youth and families. The position requires travel between library locations during the workday and involves supervising staff, coordinating services, and reporting on outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field with documented education/experience.
• MLIS preferred for advanced library work.
• Experience in youth/teen programming is desirable.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversees service area within library, develops and coordinates programs for youth/adults.
• Supervises library staff, volunteers, and interns with training and evaluation tasks.
• Assists patrons by locating information and teaching use of catalogs, technology, and resources.
• Develops and presents evidence-based educational programs and outreach.
• Participates in or leads committees and keeps up with continuing education.
• Manages workload priorities and documents reporting and outcomes.
