Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston in Waltham, MA is seeking a Community Teen Leader to plan and deliver youth programs for middle and high school students, ensuring activities are safe, inclusive and engaging. You will work with the Director of Operations to develop programs that support Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.

The position is part-time with weekend and evening shifts; you will manage enrollment, coordinate events, and help recruit teens for the programs.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and development of youth programs in urban settings.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Some college courses in youth education and human services preferred.
• Experience with youth education, job readiness and employment skills.

Responsibilities

• Help design and implement quality programs for middle/high school students.
• Work with the Director of Operations to set goals and ensure safe, engaging activities.
• Coordinate service delivery with YMCA management for a teen-friendly environment.
• Maintain enrollment and participation in YMCA programs.
• Ensure teens complete required training, events, and community collaborations.
• Assist with teen recruitment and community outreach.
• Attend meetings as requested by the Director of Operations.
• Increase community visibility through weekly social media contacts.
• Maintain program areas and supplies.
• Meet reporting requirements for collaborative programs.
